Postpartum… woof!
It took me several months to get back up onto my feet after the “I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I’M DOING” phase of having my first child knocked me onto my bottom. Just as I felt like I was getting back into a groove, my hair started falling out in alarming chunks. Still, to this day, I have no clue how I didn’t go bald. My hair fell about for about 2 months (months 4-6 pp).
And shortly after came the oh-so-flattering, oh-so-DIFFICULT-to-hide, baby hairs. I vowed I wouldn’t wear my hair in a ponytail or bun until they were long enough to put into the elastic, but that was basically impossible… as a new mom, I was constantly wearing my hair up. I posted on my personal instagram on ways to help with postpartum hair loss/growth and basically everyone said you just need to wait it out. But I did get a few lovely tips and I will share them with you!
•Keep taking your prenatal vitamin! My personal favorite, linked here.
•Add collagen to your diet. This is the kind I use.
•But my favorite hack- when your hairs just WON’T cooperate, run a blank mascara wand through it and voila! They will slick better! (A little hair grease won’t hurt either ;)) They come in GIANT packs, so you can split the cost with a friend! ($8 lol)
If you have any other tips, let us know!
