Have you noticed an influx in pregnancy announcements lately or is it just us?! We both have family and friends who are expecting and we are so over-the-moon excited for them! We want to share a few tips to support your expecting mama friends and would love to hear your tips and recommendations too!
Some of our favorites:
-cleaning their house/car/etc especially when they are experiencing morning sickness/first trimester fatigue
-drop off a drink + treat on the porch
-Offer to watch their kid(s) for a few hours
-Drop off some dinner
None of us are good at asking for help, are we?! So one of our favorite things to do is offer options for your friend! It may look a little like this:
It’s hard to ask for help when you are going through something. Maybe YOU are going through something right now, too. Maybe you are celebrating others’ good news while waiting for that miracle for yourself. We’ve been there! We see you. Balancing these conflicting feelings (happiness for others while longing for your own little one) can be tricky! But three things that work well for us are:
- Reaching out to a trusted friend and letting them know what you are going through
- Serving others
- Prioritizing your well being and treating yourself!
