If you are looking to challenge your little one, I would suggest these wooden puzzles! We started with the Melissa and Doug shapes, fish tank, and the house because the shapes are fairly simple to put into place, but also because they have the wooden knobs to help your little one hold it! My boy got these when he had just turned one and it took a bit for him to figure them out. For his second birthday, he was gifted this Crocodile Creek puzzle. It’s perfect! The shapes are a bit more complex and there’s no knobs to hold. I seriously feel like it has been the perfect transition as his dexterity increases. Plus, naming all the pieces (shapes, colors, animals, vehicles) as you are putting them in their spot helps with language development! *clap, clap*
