You don’t have to compromise your personal aesthetic when it comes to creating a beautiful life for your kids. What we love about Madison from The Tiner Home is her ability to merge both form and function. AKA: Creating spaces that feel true to you while still allowing full imagination and exploration for your kids. Maddie was so kind to help us curate simple easter baskets for our kids that are beautiful, fun, and encourage play.
It’s easy to go overboard on holidays. To keep things meaningful and focused, we stuck to this simple recipe for our baskets:
Something to read
Something to wear
Something to explore
Something to play
And of course, something sweet 🙂
Make sure to follow @thetinerhome for inspiration on all things home design (she’s currently working on an exciting project for her daughter’s room!)
We curated 4 Easter Baskets. 2 girls, 2 boys. A 3.5 year old girl, 2 year old boy, 1.5 year old girl, and 1 year old boy. We hope this gives you ideas for your littles basket, no matter their age or gender!
3.5 year old girl:
Something to read: Savior, The Story of Jesus Christ. The most beautifully illustrated and rhyming book outlining Christ’s life in a way that children understand.
Something to wear: Amazon Ruffled Swimmy (to die for!)
Something to explore: Popsicle Mold. Obsessed with the shape and color. We can’t wait to use this!
Something to play: Easter Egg Decorating Kit. Because it wouldn’t be Easter without decorating eggs!
Something sweet: Smartie Suckers. We’ve posted about these before. They are the best no-mess, sticky-free sucker. I snagged a bag of individually wrapped ones to toss in my diaper bag with no cares.
2 year old boy:
Something to read: When I am Big. Such a darling counting book. My boy loves to count everything so I thought this would be fun for him.
Something to wear: Euro Style Swim Shorts. We posted about these swimmies last year, and here I am again buying them again for the THIRD time. They are the best! Great quality, liner inside, and comes in the most beautiful colors. Limited sizes and colors so if you see yours in stock, RUN! & a Kai Tie! We love this small business and always get our ties from them.
Something to explore: Popsicle Mold. We got the green color. It comes in white, navy blue, and pink, too!
Something to play: Popsicle Chalk! (So cute. Disclaimer: only give this to your child if they are old enough to understand you DON’T eat it lol)
Something sweet: Smartie Suckers (Individually wrapped 2lb bag)
1.5 year old girl:
Something to read: Hop Board Book. I stumbled upon this springtime book and immediately fell in love with it’s beautiful illustrations and simple story.
Something to wear: Sunnies. Like mama like baby. These look so similar to our favorite pair and I can’t wait to give these to her. And linen bunny ears! These were a random Kohl’s find (now sold out, there) but I found the exact ones for you, here!
Something to explore: Honest Bubble Bath (non-toxic! Just how I love my baby products) & Pastel Stacking Rings. The most beautiful colors. This has been a toy my girl has used from birth until now!
Something to play: Vintage Toy Car. I had a vintage toy car as a little girl and it has been so fun to watch mine obsess over hers! Linked similar ones here and here.
Something sweet: Smartie Suckers. (Individaully wrapped 2lb bag)
1 year old boy:
Something to read: J is for Jesus. Each part of this darling poem is accompanied by fun, engaging illustrations and covers the major events in Christ’s life!
Something to wear: Euro Style Swim Shorts. Perfect for chunky baby legs! & a Kai Tie! The sweetest ties for all ages.
Something to explore: Bath Ducky. Absolutely gorgeous sitting atop a dresser, but also perfect for the tub. No holes = no mold!!
Something to play: Baby’s First Puzzle. 4 different pictures can be put together on 4 different blocks. Perfect for tiny hands!
Something sweet: Smartie Suckers (Individually wrapped 2 lb bag)
