This activity takes me back to when I was a little girl. I have vivid memories of doing this with my mom so this day was very special for me to do it with my own boy!! It was easy, so much fun, and we already had everything on hand! I let my little guy take his time and we got distracted lots 
And spent probably an hour and a half washing the rocks. But that’s what this is all about. We had the best time so I thought I would share, here.
Step 1. We just went for a walk and started collecting as many rocks as we could!
Step 2. Then we came home and washed them with dish soap and water in a plastic bin I found in our garage.
Step 3. We laid them out to dry while I prepped the paint and poster board to keep the activity contained.
Step 4. Let your little go to town! We had so much fun painting the rocks together and I got into it too 
I painted a house rock and a dinosaur rock lol. He loved them.
