Spring Cleaning

I have been in a GROOVE and have wanted to purge all my junk drawers and clean every nook and cranny of my home! I guess it must be spring time!

I decided to put a quick list of 10 Spring Cleaning ideas from most difficult to most simple in hopes it will feel manageable and not too burdensome to you! One a day and your home will be spick and span in 10 days! (Get the hardest done first!)

  1. Clean out & organize pantry. This one feels the most daunting for me because my pantry is horrendous, currently. I vow to start my organization process tonight after bedtime!! I made a trip to Home Goods this past week and stocked up on all sorts of bins & organizing things!
  2. Clean the baseboards. Anything that makes me get down on my hands and knees feels hard lol. No matter the size of your home, there’s always more baseboard coverage than you imagine!! Linked my favorite non-toxic (recommended by Just Ingredients!) multi surface cleaning wipes, here!
  3. Clean out fridge & freezer. I don’t do this often enough. I also need a better fridge organizing routine. Send any tips my way!
  4. Dust blinds and & windowsills. I have this as a recurring chore on my to-do list for every 6 months and let’s just say I’ve skipped it a couple times… It’s time to finally do it!! Linked my favorite microfiber cleaning towels for this.
  5. Go through clothing to donate or sell. I am pretty good at going through my clothes every so often. But I don’t go through my workout clothing, swimsuits, socks, pajamas, sweats, and pants enough. So that’s my focus for this round! I got the BEST pant hangers for Christmas that I have LOVED. So I will link those here in case you need to free up some shelf/drawer space!
  6. Organize bathroom drawers & cupboards. This is the first thing I did this spring and it felt so GOOD. Which is why I think I caught the spring cleaning bug! I’ll link these under-the-sink organizing bins. I put things in these that I don’t use too often. These bins are stackable and the perfect size, IMO!
  7. Scrub tubs & showers. Linked the perfect scrubber for this! Works WONDERS with a little dish soap and voila!!!! Clean as can be!
  8. Clean dishwasher, disposal, & washing machine. Linking the BEST products ever for this! All instructions are on the box but it’s the easiest thing to do. Also- pro tip… did you know your dishwasher has a filter that needs to be cleaned, too? Dishwasher cleaning tablets. Disposal cleaning tablets. Washing machine cleaning tablets.
  9. Refresh your porch. This one feels the most fun to me. Sweep, shake out your mat, fluff or switch out your wreath, add a little potted plant, and your porch is ready for spring!
  10. Wipe down doorknobs & light switches. How often do people do this?! Cause I have to say I haven’t done it since moving into our current home (1.5 years..) So today is the day!

It's a big oops not having this book in your libra It's a big oops not having this book in your library!

The "book fairy" (as we lovingly call the anonymous stranger who has secretly left books on our porch for a year!) delivered this gem at THE PERFECT TIME (we are potty training over here!). No, this book isn't about toilets and such. But it is a beautiful and accessible message about making the most out of any "oops" that might come your way. It has tabs and pulls and all the tricks that tiny hands love and I'm sure you and your littles will enjoy it just as much as we have!
