Can we talk diaper pails?! Are they a necessity or no? Here’s my hot take: I think diaper pails are wonderful for the first 4ish months of your baby’s life. When they are only drinking milk and still pooping frequently enough to fill up the pail in two or three days.

After that, they don’t poop enough to fill up the pail before it starts to really smell- especially once they start eating baby food. (Have I mentioned how I didn’t realize how normal talking about poop would be once you became a mother? haha)

Soooooooo, I think for the first few months of your baby’s life, a diaper pail is a great thing to have. And if you are going to have one- this one is my recommendation!! The reason I love this one more than the diaper genie is because this one doesn’t require any special bags! So you save money by using regular trash bags! It is award winning, comes in 12 colors, is easy to use, and has a childproof lock. It was so nice to have during the fog of the 4th trimester 😉
