Throughout all of motherhood, I have found it very valuable to hear about other people’s experiences with their baby’s feeding, sleeping, teething, etc. With that being said, every baby is unique in every way! So take this info as you please and if your baby has already gone through all these phases, I would love to hear about what worked for you!
When my baby was an infant, I LOVED swaddling him in the Halo Sleep Sacks. They were gold to me. I felt like they were safe for my baby (not too much extra fabric) and my baby’s arms stayed put which, in turn, helped him get better sleep through the night.
Once he started rolling over, I started leaving one arm out of the swaddle (per our doctors recommendation). Then our doctor recommended that once he could roll from front to back AND back to front, we should leave both of his arms out. When we did that, he was NOT sleeping well, at all. My friend recommended the Zipadee Zip Sleep Sack (pictured below). This worked wonderfully for us! He had freedom and movement in his arms, but they were still concealed. I would absolutely recommend this as a transitional sleep sack! We used it for about 2 weeks.
Then we started using the armless Halo Sleep Sack. Which is basically a wearable blanket. We loved it! It helped create a routine for us where when it came time to put on the sleep sack, he knew it was time to go to sleep. We just recently got rid of it- around 18 months.
All three of these sleep sacks come in different colors/patterns!

Your routine should be catered to your baby and his/her specific needs and nobody else’s opinion matters!! I hope this helps at least one person! <3 XOXO. I’d love to hear about your swaddling/sleeping experiences!
