When planning your baby registry, overwhelmed may be a wild understatement. There are all sorts of gadgets, brands, accessories, and “must-haves” you never thought you needed. We felt the same when putting together our registries and we are here to share tips and tricks we wish we would have known during that time. There’s so much to stress about when you’re about to have a baby. Don’t let this be another!!

TIPS when creating your registry:
- Be aware of seasons/sizes when registering for clothing items. Babies grow so fast!
- Create an Amazon Universal Registry so you can add anything! If you don’t know how to do that, click here!
- People are going to buy clothes regardless. Add more supplies & necessities.
- Keep it concise. (But also don’t shy away from adding everything you think you NEED.)
- Register online AND with a brick & mortar store. (So last minute shoppers can still find something from your registry)
- You don’t need a bunch of soaps, lotions, rash creams- they last forever.
- Practical items are best!
- Register for various clothing sizes. Newborn, 0-3, 3-6, 6-9, 9-12, 12-18!
- If you feel so inclined, register for older baby toys, books, feeding supplies such as plates, bowls, utensils, snack cups, etc.
- Take advantage of amazon deals after- you can get 15% off!
- Don’t be afraid to add things for yourself to help with healing postpartum, nursing, etc.
Things people registered for and never ended up using:
- Wipes warmer (Someone once told me that if you use a wipes warmer at home, changing their diaper in public will be a disaster)
- Boppy pillow (This was a popular answer- however, I used mine! For multiple uses. Read about it here!)
- Bottle warmer
- Swaddles. (Because people tend to use sleep sacks! Our favorites linked here.)
- Owlet. Some people swear by this, others didn’t use it. But it was a common answer!
- Baby swing
- Changing table. Another popular answer!
- Diaper genie. I have to say, I loved my Ubbi.
- Diaper rash cream applicator.
Things people received the most of: (I can attest to every single one of these things!)
- Blankets
- Swaddles
- Onesies
- Clothing
- Burp rags
- Bows
- Lotions and soaps
- Diaper creams
