This book. Ohhhhhh this book. So full of beauty, simplicity, and the life of Christ wrapped up into pages full of beautiful hand-painted imagery and rhymes. Savior, The Story of Jesus Christ was written and illustrated by two women at Lighten Print who have children of their own and were searching for a children’s book that explained the life of the Savior in a simple, lasting way. They couldn’t find one that met their children’s needs, so they created one! I found them as they launched their kickstarter early this year and didn’t hesitate to support. I wasn’t alone because their kickstarter was fully funded in under EIGHT hours!!! I gave this book to my son for Easter and he has loved it. I get emotional almost every time we read it. It is absolutely beautiful in every way.
As I scoured their Instagram, I found that we had so much in common with the two women who wrote & illustrated this book. Two friends, many Marco-Polos, and a dream to create something they love, together. C & I are on the same path and journey and couldn’t wait to share this most beautiful book with you all.
