Pregnancy Must Haves

1st Trimester

  1. Prenatal Vitamin: J’s Favorite. There’s so many great one’s out there! You can buy these or you can ask your doctor what he thinks might be best for you! XOXO
  2. Preggie Pop Drops/Pink Stork Morning Sickness Sweets. Little candies to help keep nausea at bay.
  3. Mama Sea Bands. Worked like a charm when I went on a cruise!
  4. Burts Bees Bakuchiol. No more retinol mama! Use this (incredibly inexpensive!) natural alternative that smells divine.
  5. Belly Butter/Oil. I SWEAR by this stuff. I used several different kinds and this was the best. I used from about 10 weeks until I delivered.
  6. Bigger Bra. Or at least an incredibly comfortable bra?! You deserve it, mama. Here’s my absolute favorite. Not to get too personal on here… but I just bought a new bra for the first time in like maybe 10 years?!!? (Besides my nursing bras a few years ago). But I 100% absolutely cannot recommend this one enough. Super comfortable and not too much $$$.
  7. This Promptly journal starts at pregnancy and continues through your child’s life to 18 years. Start recording those magic moments now!

2nd Trimester

  1. Maternity Leggings. Starting to grow <3 I wore these leggings so many times I should have ordered 2 or3 pairs!
  2. Pants don’t grow with you. Do yourself a favor and buy a pretty dress that will work during & after pregnancy. I Lived in this floral dream!
  3. Pregnancy Pillow. Are you team U pregnancy pillow or Team C pregnancy pillow?
  4. Tums. We both had heartburn at the end of 2nd Trimester that went full force third. Do yourself a favor and get tums early!
  5. Hydration is so important during pregnancy! We can’t stop/won’t stop talking about our love for this water bottle.

3rd Trimester

  1. Compression Socks come in clutch if you have swelling.
  2. Some things are worth the splurge. These sandals were that for me. They offer the best support, are quality, and so cute!
  3. Nursing pads. I started leaking colostrum at 22 weeks… If you do too, these would be so nice to have!
  4. Pelvis support belly band. When the belly is just a bit too big for comfort.

Stay tuned for a Postpartum (4th Trimester) Must Haves list… coming soon!!

It's a big oops not having this book in your libra It's a big oops not having this book in your library!

The "book fairy" (as we lovingly call the anonymous stranger who has secretly left books on our porch for a year!) delivered this gem at THE PERFECT TIME (we are potty training over here!). No, this book isn't about toilets and such. But it is a beautiful and accessible message about making the most out of any "oops" that might come your way. It has tabs and pulls and all the tricks that tiny hands love and I'm sure you and your littles will enjoy it just as much as we have!
