Lake Day!

We love going to the lake with family, so I compiled a list of some great items to bring along! (We had a full week at the lake so this list might be a bit extensive for just one day, but better to be prepared… right?? ;))

Bug Patches: The lake we went to was AWFUL at nights. So many bugs!!! I kept forgetting to put patches on myself, but I put some on my little and he left bite-free. Not even kidding!! No more spraying your precious babies with toxic chemicals!

Sunscreen: If you’ve been here for a minute, you know this is our all-time favorite sunscreen! I have the cream, the spray, and the stick and love them all. It’s a little harder to rub in than normal sunscreen but it is 100% worth it to not have the chemicals in there. All natural sunscreen that smells good and WORKS!

Mini Camp Chair: Why are mini things so cute?! I loved the simplicity of this camp chair and the cute green color. It is perfect and my little boy adores having his “own chair”.

Bubble Machine: This was a huge hit for the littles at the lake! Just make sure you bring batteries! We had so much fun with this and it was nice to break up the sand/water play with something new.

Water Shoes: We all know that water shoes aren’t the cutest but I’m here to say these are THE BEST. They stayed on his feet so well, protected his feet and he didn’t mind wearing them all day long.

Active Skin Repair: If you haven’t heard of this before, it’s like Neosporin. Just not an antibiotic and made 100% of all natural products! Just Ingredients is how I heard about it. We keep it with us at all times and it is especially amazing on sunburns.

Towels: Cute towels that are thin enough to pack away. I posted about these last year and they are still a favorite! They come in the best colors.

Coloring Book: Another good activity to break up the sun/sand/water play. When we were at the lake for a week, we needed some other activities as well and coloring is always a winner!

Baby Boy Swim Trunks: We have two brands that we absolutely ADORE! Size up in this brand and these ones are true to size and come in tons of colors/patterns!

Sand Toys: We didn’t have any sand toys prior to last summer. I bought this kit and I swear it comes with everything!!! My little boy’s favorite is the mini watering can. I think it’s adorable and we’ve taken it to the pool and played with it in the tub, too. I have loved this pack of sand toys if you’re in need!

It's a big oops not having this book in your libra It's a big oops not having this book in your library!

The "book fairy" (as we lovingly call the anonymous stranger who has secretly left books on our porch for a year!) delivered this gem at THE PERFECT TIME (we are potty training over here!). No, this book isn't about toilets and such. But it is a beautiful and accessible message about making the most out of any "oops" that might come your way. It has tabs and pulls and all the tricks that tiny hands love and I'm sure you and your littles will enjoy it just as much as we have!
