You love documenting your kids! The special occasions and the everyday. What a blessing to have a constant camera on hand! But also, the sheer volume of photos you collect can also feel like a curse.
When I complained to J about the overwhelming amount of photos I have, she shared the best and SIMPLEST tip for organizing them!
Simply set a reoccurring alarm that goes off on your phone the 15th of every month to remind you to go through the photos of the last month and delete duplicates, non-important ones, screenshots, etc. and to do any minor editing. Then, when you do want to do something with the photos (which J’s got tips for for later 😉 you have a cleaned up and curated collection that is easy to work with!
What I love most about J’s process is that it is
- Routine
- Simple
- Small (not biting off too much all at once)
- Totally sustainable. I’ve adopted her method for the last few months and it’s been a huge success! I’ve even started doubling up on past months to get caught up.
